Last Updated: August 5, 2026
Overview
This policy covers the Lingu.Africa website (www.lingu.africa) and the Lingu.Africa iOS app.
What we collect
- Email address (account sign-in)
- Lesson progress when you are signed in
- Premium status (Apple handles payment; we do not store your card number)
- Crash logs (to fix bugs)
- Website: practice-chat messages sent to our AI provider; waitlist emails if you join
- On your device: simple preferences (for example, onboarding)
How we use it
We use this information to run Lingu.Africa: sign you in, sync progress, unlock Premium, fix crashes, operate website practice and waitlist features, and respond to support requests. We do not sell your personal information.
Services we use
We use Supabase (accounts and data), Apple (App Store purchases), RevenueCat (purchase status), and Firebase Crashlytics (crash reports). On the website, practice chat may be processed by OpenRouter and Google. These providers process data only to help us deliver the service.
Your choices
In the iOS app, open the account menu to delete your account and related data. You can also email hello@lingu.africa to ask a question or request deletion.
Children
Parents may use Lingu.Africa to teach languages to children (ages 4 and up). Accounts use a parent or guardian email; email us at hello@lingu.africa to request deletion of a child's related data.
